FAITH + PRAYER + HARD WORK

Have you ever known someone who can speak to any subject and sound like an expert but in the end, you find that person struggles to be successful in relationships or work?

What I have described here is what the Bible calls a sluggard who never succeeds very well in life.

“The sluggard is wiser in his/her own eyes than seven men who answer discreetly.” Proverbs 26:16

This kind of person struggles with being successful and can end up hurting people who count on him/her for support and direction.

Here are three things that will make us successful: Faith + Prayer + Hard Work = SUCCESS!

It always worked for me when I would apply these important things. Success means living a fruitful life with meaning and purpose. It means more inner peace and better relationships with those we care about.

Faith represents our relationship with God. Faith is believing in what we can't see.

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17

Faith comes by hearing, by the fellowship of believers, and by the reading of God's Word.

Prayer represents communication with God and seeking His face in all we do. Do we ask Him for leadership or commit our plans to Him asking His approval?

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” Psalms 37:5-7

Hard work is what God wants of us. Whether it is to support ourselves, our family, or doing good works for the Lord. We must not be like the sluggard who talks but shows no action.

“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23

Faith, prayer, and hard work have always been God's plan from the foundation of the earth because He knows what we need to live a life of meaning and purpose.
