The road to Glory

“When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” (Col. 3:4 NIV)

Here are some great “dos” of Colossians 3 that will make your transition from this life to eternity easier.

  • Do – “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” V-2

  • Do – “…rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.” V-8

  • Do – “…clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” V-12-13

  • Do – “…whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” V-17

  • Do – “work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” V-23-24

Impossible? Yes! UNLESS – We are: 1. In God’s word every day. 2. Praying the Lord will strengthen you and forgive you when you falter. 3. In a church where the Word is taught and there are believers who support you in your walk.

Remember – “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Phil. 4:13 NIV)

Lord, help me on my road to seeing You one day,
